TEC Executives-in-Residence (EIRs) are the veteran business professionals on TEC Edmonton’s team. These individuals have been successful in starting and growing companies. They've learned what works and what doesn't, and they have the industry expertise and connections to help evaluate, and advise entrepreneurs.
Our EIRs are supported through are partners, Alberta Ingenuity, AHFMR, and NRC-IRAP. The EIR program is two years, whereby an EIR provides strategic business guidance (mentoring) and management stewardship, while mining for advanced technologies in the Edmonton area.
When an EIR finds an entrepreneur that is a match for their background, the EIR will transition from working with TEC Edmonton to working for that company.
